Although the computer supplier is obliged by the terms of the
license to take the software back, they may also oblige you to
send back the entire machine.

Although you do not have to buy a computer with an OS, they do
not have to sell a computer without one.

I'm sure they wouldn't be too keen on you sending back just the
CD-ROM drive if you want to upgrade to DVD, either.
