*face turns beet red* Umm, oops.  :-)

On the other hand, this is my first kernel compiled using the new improved
Linus method.  I compiled the whole thing as an unpriviledged user in my
/home directory.  I think it's a lot easier to manage since you don't need
to symlink everything into the /usr/src directory and after awhile start
forgetting what's symlinked to what.
