Actually we are using one of the 4-"port" OmniViews with X.  It works
great.  No problems with keyboard or mouse loss at all.

We also have an OmniView Pro (8 port) which works just as well.  It has a
nice on-screen menu which allows you to give names to each "port" so when
you use the keyboard hot keys to switch from one machine to another the
name appears on the screen for a second and disapears.
