Yeah, I suspect one newer hard drive at 15MB/sec would be
quite a bit faster than 5 older ones at 2MB/sec.  But I could be wrong
I suppose.  I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 drives that are that age
die, especially if you don't know where they are coming from.

I probably wouldn't have bought all 30, even if I had the money, but an
array of ~5 drives would be sufficient for performance testing.  It'd be
great to know that my system volume was more-or-less immune to hardware
failure!
