Phil,
I have a laptop for you. It's an old 486. The wire to the backlight goes
through a hinge, and apparently broke (I have fixed it once before). If you
want it, you can have it. It does have a HDD (200 mb) I think. The floppy
works. It has 4Mb ram. If you are handy with taking apart laptops, you
could probably get the backlight tube working again, otherwise just shine a
bright light on it.
Let me know if you could use it..
(would rather give this to someone who is willing to use it rather than
dispose of it!!)
