Chewie,

Sonnek was the other ISP that I shared a frame with.  The problems were
at Sihope's end of the frame, they were caused by US-West (actually we
linked one of the outages to the day of US-West's x-mas party...)  From
what I remember, they had a US-West tech out a few times testing for
BRT, which seemed to be the most likely cause of the problem, but didn't
find any.  Last I heard they haven't fixed it, and the frame gets rather
spotty.

I've met Patrick Sonnek, he's a pretty cool guy.

Other than the recent problems, Sihope was pretty good to me.  I got
good service, good response time for trouble calls, etc.  I left for no
reason other than because we outgrew them.
