Color Question

Greet the sun all,

I have not asked a stupid question for a while so I figure what the
hey!.  I get the following error message from numerous applications
(Java, Netscape, etc):

Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for default background

Are they having a problem because my color is set too high or too low
(depdending on the application)?
