Well, it depends on what you want.  The low end G400's (single head,
16MB, slower DAC) are running $80-90 (+$10 S&H) on pricewatch.  The
high end versions (dual head, 32MB, faster DAC) start at around $180.

I believe that the 3Dfx cards are decently supported.  I'm not sure if
you'll get mind-boggling framerates or anything, but they work.  Also, you
can easily get 3Dfx cards over at Least Objectionable Purchase if you want
some immediate gratification..
