There are three install modes: Standard, Custom, and Expert.   If you
choose either custom or expert, then you can select individual packages if
you want to.

Me too.   But having a journaling filesystem available at install is
nice.   I also have to admit, Mandrake's installer is better than
debian's.

Hmmm...   This would not be impossible (technically)...   rpms may not
have all of the scripting available that .deb's do, but they probably
have enough...
