I'm Trying to set up turbolinux and I'm running
into a couple of problems that I can't resolve
1. Using the turbolinux installation program (installing
all the programs of the cd)
I'm getting a message saying that Linux has been
successfully installed and that I should remove the cd.
I push enter and I get a error saying "error
cannot write/etc/rd.d/rc.modules.:no such file or directory"
I can continue on by pressing the enter key.
2 it goes into the Turbopkg and when it gets into setting
up video card , it wont do this automatically ,it has to be done
manually.
I seem to get the right module for my No 9 Revolation IV
in (x86_I128) . At this point it asks for me to select my monitor, which I
do (viewsonic ps 790). Then I'm asked to set the Default color depth, I have
four choices 8bpp,16bpp,24bpp and 32 bpp but no matter which one of these I set
I get a error message saying "error: the step configure video mode has failed"
> I can't continue or go around this point by pushing enter . I have to
ctrl/alt/delete so I can't finish using turbopkg to set up the rest of the
Turbolinux.
What can be done for these two problems?
