Oracle Client software question

Greet the sun all,

Does anybody run the client tools from Orasoft (www.orasoft.org).  I
would like to try them out but all the tools need the libclntsh.so file
from the Oracle client library.  Anybody know where I could get a copy
of this file without having to install all the Oracle client libraries
from my Oracle 8i CD?
