Actually, you can do hashes, slices, and all the fun things you want
to do in Perl in Python as well.  Really, when it comes down to it,
it's just a program with it and find out if you like it.  I would
argue that everything you can do in Perl, Java, and C, you can do in
Python.

Personally, Python is my preference for a scripting language.
