Are you running gpm in the background? I know with my Logitech, if I'm
running gpm with X, I get problems with my mouse. There is probably some way
to fix it, but I haven't missed gpm yet, since I'm almost always in X when I
need to cut/paste. Anyway, if gpm is running, try killing it, see if that
helps..
