RE: [TCLUG:2089] default beep



It's been a while since I've messed with it, but I thought that the beeps
were done through some sort of system call (sorry, don't remember which and
man isn't finding it, but it was something simple like "beep"), where the
parameters you pass are the frequency (pitch) of the speaker and the
duration of the beep. If this is the case, I wouldn't think that there would
be any environment variables that you could set to change it unless they
override the application's call parameters...
