Re: [TCLUG:2739] Red Hat 5.2



I'm not sure what SSL version it bundled with Apache/5.2, but mod_ssl
allows you to create your own SSL certificate. The only problem is the
client browser will not trust is since it is not from a known CA.
(Netscape will pop-up a window asking if you trust the site or not the
first time you connect.) If you only have a few users this is not a big
deal, but if you are doing any type of Internet transactions with a lot
of different users I would get a valid certificate. They run about $300.
