SuSE has no "control-panel", and SuSE 5.2 does not have DHCPCD. 5.2 has
DHCPD (yay) and 6.0 is to have DHCPCD (again, yay). I did not try
linuxconf. I followed the DHCP Mini HOWTO, downloaded dhcpcd from sunsite,
ran "make" and "make install" and followed that with "dhcpcd eth0" and
seconds later had an IP address.

However, I still didn't have DNS. I had not configured my network at all,
so I ran YaST, entered the IP address from ifconfig and DNS address in
/etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf, and I was in business.

It's still not 100%, because I'm not sure if my DNS is using what I typed
to configure the network, or what DHCP determines. In addition, it does
not run at startup just yet.

SuSE does come with Netscape, though, and it was the easiest browser
install I've ever done. Turn on the X by Netscape, watch YaST do its
thing, type Netscape and away it went.
