RE: (ASCEND) DHCP Spoofing/P75 Address Robbing
I have a similar problem with my users running Windows NT on a laptop
that connects to a DHCP spoofing Pipeline 75 at home and to a DHCP
enabled network in the office.
When a user connects to a Pipeline they get given an IP address using
DHCP correctly UNTIL they bring their laptop into the office and then
take it home again. After getting a different IP address from the office
DHCP server when they take the machine home, the Pipeline 75 (5.1Ap4)
refuses to grant a new IP lease to the laptop.
I have no experiance of pre-5.1 code to know if this is new or long
standing behaviour. I was about to double check my configuration
settings to see if it was my mistake, but perhaps I better call tech
support and log a fault...
