Re: (ASCEND) Multi-Max's...
Well, this sounds similar to what we do except we are using NTI as a switch
type. What we have are 2 max's, a 4048 and a 4000. We have 2 Pri's in each
max. The pri's are paired off into groups of 2, one group for each max. Each
group has it's own hunt number, but all 4 pri's can be accessed via the hunt
number of group A. They have put a "call forwarding" type feature between the 2
groups (although that's not what it's called, but the term escapes me). Also, we
are configured on each pair as Clock source = Yes on the 1st line an No on the
2nd, nfas id 0 on the 1st, 2 on the 2nd. This allows us to use channel 24 on
the 1st line of each group as Nfas-Prime, and all other channels in the group as
switched, so we get 47 channels instead of 46. Of course, if that D channel
goes down, so do both Pri's. Hope this helps.
