I have been told that the radius class attribute is not used by most radius servers. Has anyone used the radius class attribute (25) to inform the accounting process of the type of service delivered to the user? 

I have been told that this attribute is under consideration for redefinition by an IETF working group. 

It seems that the class attribute is a very effective mechanism to make service level information known outside the radius authentication server.
