Nope. In the carrier-class world - one I understand you aspire to :) - we
have equipment in service for decades.
Our switches have Z80A processors as primary rate controllers. Hardly new
technology. Maxes have cause codes for various events - exchanges have
error codes for "date in billing ticket expected in BCD format, but failed
integrity check."
Different paradigm....
