(ASCEND) MAX4004/48 Security

We a few 4004 & 4048 on our network. They are great machine
expect they don't report much information via syslog. With our old
equipement, I could see when someone would telnet to the machine, would
dialout on a line, reset the machine, etc.

So far, I haven't much that can let me know that sort of
information. I manage quite a lot of those MAXs and I don't have time all
day to stay in the debug mode to find out if anyone is telnetting to the
box.
Is there anyway to setup the Ascend to report who logs-in via
telnet to the machine or/and how do you deal with this situation?

Is this something that the SNMP traps will give me? Also WHY are
the SNMP manual being ommited in all our recently purchased 4048?

	Thanks
