Re: (ASCEND) Switched 56 call being answered by modem???

The MAX is on PRI. I am not sure what Answer number routing or
channel assignments are, so I would guess that is not it. Right when
he dials in I see a modem try to answer it, every time.

Could it be something on his Pipeline or from his Telco?

Is the MAX on PRI or CT1 lines ?

For PRI, it's automatically recognized....as long as you don't over-ride the
default call-routing with Answer number routing, or channel assignments.

For CT1 you have to specify which channel is 'dedicated' to modems vs HDLC
calls.
