NT does NOT support STAC compression of any kind *unless* they are
BETA testing NT5.0 ??

Are you sure compression is happening ? (wanopen 64 debug available?).

Is this connection via a modem or TA ?

Maybe the infamous MS TCP/IP stack problems (more common in Win95)...
