You hit the nail on the head! Ascend has been saying that they regression 
test every full release. If so, why are there so many patch releases? We 
have many 4004s deployed in our POPs. While we are running versions 
of code that appear to be somewhat stable, we still don't have the 
functionality that the boxes were sold to us for. The TNT is another 
issue. We have had the TNT since Oct 9, 1996, and the box still only 
functions as a space heater. Versions of code come our that fix one issue 
to only break others. With the TNT we have been running 1.3Ap2 because 
there are problems with RIP-2 and OSPF in anything newer (read this as 
they broke previously working code in a newer patch release).
