(ASCEND) MAX-4000 and Alcatel E-10 with R2 signalling?

Hi!

I have a serious problem right now. My task is to force the MAX-4000 to
answer the incoming calls coming from Alcatel E-10 switch.
The problem is that we can use only the R2 signaling in E1 trunks
between MAX and E-10. Now the MAX can see the trunks. It shows the good
state of E1 lines (all dashes in status window, 's' mark for signaling
(16th) time slot and 'LA' status). But any call from the external
phone/modem cannot be done into the MAX.

And is to send the 'B6' signal which gives the switch the 'Subscriber
is available' state, and therefore the switch can initiate the 'open
line' state. BUT MAX DOESN'T RESPOND ANYTHING after the receiving the
first digit of the called number! Then returns the 'inter-station busy'
tone to the handset.
I've tried the different setups in Alcatel and MAX4000 (and MAX has a
few parameters in E1 line profile). Nothing could I change :-((

Has anybody tested the same configuration (MAX4000 and Alcatel E-10 with
R2)? Can it work? Please help me, if you can!
