(ASCEND) Weird PRI problems to Max4002

Hey all,

Very recently, I've noticed very weird problems dialing into my
max. I have a PRI into a Meridian Option 11 PBX. One 800 number we have
routes 8 channels over that PRI and then the PBX routes them to the Max.
The max see's a full 24 channels from a PRI card in the Option 11 but
only 8 remote dialins get routed over it. The other 16 channels are used
by 8 pipeline 75's that dial a 4digit extension which routes them to the
Max - just as if they had dialed in from remote. Here is the problem,
the Pipelines don't seem to have any problems whatsoever 'calling' up.
However, calls to the 800 number either get a fast busy, dead air for
about 30 seconds before finally getting modem tones from the Max, or a
single continuous ring. If I telnet into the Max and watch the console
while dailing the 800 number, I see 'Assigned to Port' then 'Remote End
Hungup' and I hear the fast busy on the phone line. I opened a trouble
ticket up with MCI last Friday and they finally determined that it
wasnt' a problem with the PRI and that the calls were being routed to
our equipment correctly. I'm not quite so sure of that since teh calls
that don't go over the PRI (ie, ISDN) connect with the max fine. The max
has a single 8port V34 digital card in it running 5.0Ap23. Any comments
or suggestions will be greatly appreciated....
