Not to pick on one person but... I *really* hope that people are supplying more information than this when they contact a company's technical support department! This ranks right up there with "it don't work, fix it" for usefulness. How do you know you are having problems with disconnects? Are you monitoring syslog or the RADIUS accounting messages or customer complaints? If you are getting customer complaints are you recording the information on operating system (and revision), network software (and revision), modem (internal/external, manufacturer, model, and firmware revision), symptoms (are they seeing the network hang and then disconnecting or are they seeing a disconnect). Are you trying to match their reported problems with the syslog or RADIUS accounting messages to see what the MAX thought the problem was)? Have you worked with your customers to try some of the already existing suggestions (if using an X2 modem try using MNP5 instead of V42bis, etc) to see if they help? If you are just trying to let off steam, then welcome to the club, but if you are really trying to get the problems solved, you have to collect and provide more information. But that is just a personal opinion. ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) Should I go with 5.0Ap13?

Next by Date: (ASCEND) Change in defaults when upgrading from 4.x to 5.0Ap13?

Next by thread: (ASCEND) What the big ones do

Index(es):

Main

Thread
