I'm also off a DMS100 - for the record ! >>>a) Do you have CSV = 2 in the telco provisioning (per the >>provisioning spec > >I *think* so. Have you tried talking to Bell Atlantic, here on Long Island? No, I'm in PacBell land - I'm told they're as ba, but I happen to have had no problems with my installation at all. >Before they (NYNEX) merged with Bell Atlantic, they had no clue about ISDN. >Bell Atlantic in New Jersey was MUCH better. Since the merger, things here >on Long Island have not gotten better. Hmm... >They tell me that it's provisioned correctly, but I can't look myself . . . What data did they use to come to that conclusion ? Do they have the Ascend docs...you could reference Bellcore S1 translation settings. >>>b) Does the warbling sound like a British police siren ? > >Yes, I suppose you could say that. Why do you ask? That's what I get when there *really* are no channels available to make the call. I have a data connection up, and a modem connection over the one POTS line - so the second POTS cannot call out in this scenario. >Is this a hardware thing (broken box) or a software/configuration thing? It's a normal thing, telling you you can't dial-out at this time.... >>>c) Is this also true when both channels are idle and available?\ > >Yes. Definitely points at translations....assuming we already discussed P75 config here ? >>>You should verify that you have ACO for that line. Without it, >>the *switch* >>>considers the lines busy and does not offer the call to the P75. > >Someone else mentioned that recently, and I'll have a look. Yes this is important for call-pre-emption. I'll send you a copy of my P75 config (with passwords changed) to compare the P75 configurations. As I said we seem to have similar setups (barring the Nynex/PacBell difference ;).
