No, I'm in PacBell land - I'm told they're as ba, but I happen to have had no
problems with my installation at all.

What data did they use to come to that conclusion ? Do they have the Ascend
docs...you could reference Bellcore S1 translation settings.

That's what I get when there *really* are no channels available to make the
call.
I have a data connection up, and a modem connection over the one POTS line
- so
the second POTS cannot call out in this scenario.

It's a normal thing, telling you you can't dial-out at this time....

Definitely points at translations....assuming we already discussed P75
config here ?

Yes this is important for call-pre-emption.

I'll send you a copy of my P75 config (with passwords changed) to compare
the P75
configurations. As I said we seem to have similar setups (barring the
Nynex/PacBell
difference ;).
