It is stored in a radix tree. To take one full view and do the BGP setup, etc, we use approximately 5MB. Then each additional full view adds approx 2MB. A 'full view' in this case was approximately 45K routes at the time. The PM series take RAM as 1, 4, or 16MB incriments. So 16MB is the first step with enough. (The PM-3 starts at 4, and go to 32MB (or maybe 64MB, no one has needed to...)) -MZ -- Livingston Enterprises - Chair, Department of Interstitial Affairs Phone: 800-458-9966 510-737-2100 FAX: 510-737-2110 megazone@livingston.com For support requests: support@livingston.com <http://www.livingston.com/> Snail mail: 4464 Willow Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588 ++ Ascend Users Mailing List ++ To unsubscribe: send unsubscribe to ascend-users-request@bungi.com To get FAQ'd: <http://www.nealis.net/ascend/faq>

Prev by Date: (ASCEND) BGP 4 ?
