having multiple IP networks (class C's, or whatever) on the same
physical wire/network is perfectly fine and done quite commonly....
most often to increase the available address space...especially if
the two class C's (or whatever) are not adjacent in such a fashion
that you can simply back off the subnet masks (to make something bigger
than a class C).
