(ASCEND) Max 7.0b0 available
The 7.0b0 beta release for the MAX family is now available to registered
users on www.ascend.com. The user will see a link to the Beta Agreement
Form from their logon confirmation screen.
The agreement starts at: http://www.ascend.com/private/beta
If the user accepts the agreement they are taken to an index page with all
of the available images.
The 7.0b0 beta release for the MAX family contains the following:
Features:
FID 259574 Always On/Dynamic ISDN (Phase 1)
FID 509574 MAX 1800 available with four BRI ports
FID 509654 R2 CLID processing added for India
FID NA TSAVE command has two new options
FID 509682 Telnet Security authenticates with name and password
FID NA Suppress Host Route advertisements for dial-in sessions
FID 259758 Network Address Translation (NAT) available on the MAX6000
FID 259758 DHCP services available on the MAX 6000
FID NA OSPF supports MD5 authentication
FID 259106 New Net/BRI-U card available for the MAX
FID NA Configure appearance of status menus for MAX 200Plus
Corrections:
TR 3213 E1 K56 maxes exhibit lower modem performance
TR 3486 After a period time, can no longer telnet to Maxes
TR 250209 Infinite loop in RADIUS daemon on some sw releases
Rockwell code versions:
Series56 Digital Modem Modules support Rockwell 2.084 firmware.
V.34 Digital Modem Modules support version 1.610G19.
Rockwell 2.084 firmware supports v.90, K56flex, K56plus, and all slower,
standard modem speeds.
