I don't know about 5.0Ap4x/5x, but it certainly occurs in previous releases..
We've had continuous complaints from modem users (no ISDN customers yet) with
Rockwell chipsets on versions dating back to 5.0Ap11. I've found turning on
LQM mode reduces the number of cause code 11 disconnects, but dramatically
increases the number of users being kicked off with cause code 185.
Both the modems I use suffer from this, and I've tried all the hints I've been
able to scour from the archives. (Turn on/off software compression, error
correction, hardware compression, update firmware, drop modem speed, you name
it. :-))
If you find a software version that works for you, please do let me know..
We're a tiny startup ISP with only the one flexed MAX 4048, and we just can't
afford to lose any customers at all, never mind the number we're losing over
this one issue.
