(ASCEND) Dialouts using PPP and AAC

Hi,

We have a MAX4004 with PRI and 32 modems (K56). I use the Ascend Access
Control to authenticate, and I have various sites connecting via BRI.

When the remote site dials in, it all works fine. However, although I have
set up the routes, and the MAX sees them OK, it fails to dial out to them
when you ping machines on the remote network.

The routing is something like this:

route-1 Password = "ascend"
	Service-Type = Outbound,
	Framed-Route = "192.168.8.0/24 192.168.8.254 1 n site1-out"
	Framed-Route = "192.168.100.0/24 192.168.101.254 1 n site2-out"
	Framed-Route = "192.168.101.0/24 192.168.101.254 1 n site2-out"

with outbound users like

site1-out	Password = "ascend", Service-Type = Outbound
           	User-Name = "user",
          	Framed-Protocol = PPP,
         	Ascend-Dial-Number = "01234567890",
     		Ascend-Dialout-Allowed = Dialout-Allowed,
            	Ascend-Send-Auth = Send-Auth-PAP,
            	Ascend-Send-Passwd = "user",
            	Framed-Routing = None
            	Framed-IP-Address = 192.168.8.254,
            	Framed-IP-Netmask = 255.255.255.0,
            	Ascend-Idle-Limit = 75

If you try and initiate a connection, it shows an outgoing call being made,
but generates the error "No Connection, Cause code 100". To further
complicate matters, if I use a Shiva box, and put it into listening mode,
it doesn't report an ISDN call coming in at all.

Does anyone have any thoughts?
