Re: (ASCEND) P75 Traceroute Won't work with NAT
Hi, Dennis, I thought it was just me!! Everytime I mention traceroute
not working on the P75 with NAT enabled, I usually get something like
"Gee, that is the first we have heard of that problem. Are you sure
you have the router configured correctly??" I have seen this problem
mentioned many times, in newsgroups, mailing lists, etc., yet nothing
gets fixed. I was once told by Ascend that this would constitute a
"feature request" and those got lower priority than bug fixes..
I am getting so ticked off waiting for a bug fix, I am on the verge of
selling my Pipeline and buying another brand of router, that will work
properly..
Traceroute functions seem very fundamental to me, and I cannot
understand why fixing it does not seem to be on the Ascend radar-scope
<scratching head>...
If anybody from Ascend is reading this, please, please, please fix
traceroute when using NAT as soon as possible. I have needed to do
several traceroutes today, and it is a PITA to have to connect with my
old 28.8 modem...
