(ASCEND) Re: (PM) BACP with Ascend Pipeline?

Stefan:
This appears to be caused by a really wierd byproduct of Ascend's menu
interface. In order to use BACP with the PM3, you need to set the line
encapsulation to MP. However, the parameter you need to modify,
DBA Monitor, in the Encaps options of the connection profile, is only
visible when encapsulation is set to MPP.

Try this: Set encapsulation to MPP in the connection profile. Save it.
Then go back in to the Encaps options section of the connection profile
& set DBA Monitor to Transmit-Recv. Save again. THEN, go back & change
the encapsulation back to MP.

I have an Ascend P-50 at home & tried this with DBA Monitor set to
Transmit-Recv, and again with it set to Transmit. In the former case
BACP works fine. In the latter, I get symptoms that are exactly what
you described.

Kevin (Smith), are you listening??

Hope this helps,

Bob
