MP+ has an extra measure for checking link "quality" by sending NULL MP+
messages once every second. It only sends these when the link is otherwise
idle, and they do NOT effect any idle timers etc. If the receiver does not
receive the NULL message for 5 consecutive seconds, it figures that the
link died - even if the channel is still connected.

I suppose that NOTHING has changed in either configuration too?
If this is regularly reproduced, you could check in debug mode for his
session to see if there are any frames being passed from the P50? Are
there any other P50 users there who do NOT have the problem?

What firmware versions are we talking about on each device? Have they
recently been upgraded?
