Re: (ASCEND) Ascend Radius Attributes and RFC 2138 and 2139.



Unfortunately we will break something by not using it since we use it
currently. :)

The reason we use it, I believe, is because of two things; mainly for our
Pipeline 50, etc. users.  There's no telling which MAX they will dial
into, so with OSPF we just told all of our P-50 users to set their default
gateway to x.x.x.254 and then set up "Ascend-PPP-Address" in RADIUS to
accomodate this.

We also use this for customers that are using numbered (interface based)
routes to connect to us (Most notably Cisco 25xx series routers).

Does the RFC 2138 "NAS-IP-Address" do the same thing as
"Ascend-PPP-Address"?
