Re: (ASCEND) MAX 4004 and 7.0.4

In our case, many V.90 modems, (Rockwell's HCF for sure) then connected
prior to 7.0.3, now fail.

We have found that a modem manufacture driver update has fixed all, or
at least, almost all
of V.90 connection issues. Rockwell's HCF modems must be upgraded or
they will connect and after a few packets, stop receiving packets. I am
sure many others have similar problem. It is a pain to have the
customers update their code, but the results have been very solid 44-52
connects.

We are using 4004's, 4048's and 6096's under 7.0.4 - I can recommend
this version, but
be ready for the tech support side, its *will* come.
