RE: (ASCEND) Maxx > Access Control on NT > ODBC > MSAccess = Trouble.

I have access control running with an MS_SQL server.. The authentication
works fine, and I never have a problem until I turn on accounting on the
same SQL server. Then the error log fills up on the DB and crashes the SQL
server. Like you I can reboot and keep on running. However, I now just
don't turn on the -oa accounting option and use the detail file for my
accounting needs.

Subject:	(ASCEND) Maxx > Access Control on NT > ODBC > MSAccess = Trouble.

We are having a problem with Access controll stability on NT when used with
ODBC drivers to hit an Access Database.

Current configuration
1) Maxx >> Access Control on NT >> ODBC drivers for Access ver
3.51.171300 >> MS Access Database.

After a random period of time, anywhere from 8 hours to 7 days, Maxx stops
authenticating any user that is set up in the Access databse and wakes me
up
in the middle of the night. It will start working again after restarting
access control.

Prefered configuration.
2) Maxx >> some odbc compliant radius server on Linux >> drivers on Linux
to hit MySql on linux.

Does anyone know of a radius server for linux that will work on any ODBC
compliant databse?

Or,,,,,,,,, Does anyone have an idea why Access Control or Access just
stops working on NT??

Even better, has anyone been able to sucsessfully get Ascends access
controll to build under linux?

It would be nice to eliminiate one more NT server :)
