Re[2]: (ASCEND) Max4048 isdn don't need modem card?

As long as you have ISDN signaling software (Ascend calls it Global Digital
Access) enabled on your Maxen, it will take isdn calls. A 4048 box has this
software enabled by default. A base Max 4002, 4004, or 6000 base unit with no
modems does not have this software enabled and a hash code upgrade is needed to
turn this feature on.

This should be true. I haven't tried it but i know on our 3com equiptment
ISDN is handled virtually. It doesn't hit a modem or anything, because
you're really just using the B channel(s).
