Re: (ASCEND) Terminator - Using 2nd Ethernet as WAN
Bell will give us 10Bt, 100Bt, DS3-ATM UNI or OC-3 ATM UNI. They really are
pushing the Ethernet / FE connections as the "standard". And since they're
pricing 100Bt 40% less than DS3, I think I'll agree with the bastards this
time.
Unless I'm reading it wrong, the connection standard will be PPPoE for their
consumer level Nortel 1-Meg Modem service, and L2TP for their business level
2.2Mbps ADSL product.
Naturally they're pushing the Redback, but I have a house to pay for, and
plus, I'm used to the lussend gear.

| But in general, the Ether ports are for LAN protocols only. No Frame
| Relay over Ethernet, for example. The only place the line gets
| blurred is PPPoE, AFAIK.
