That's a side effect of NAT, or at least Ascend's implementation of 
it. When packets come in, the router doesn't know who they're for so 
they get discarded. You have to set up static port mappings for the 
ports your want to forward.

NAT is a kludge, IMHO, and this is one of it's side effects.
