RE: (ASCEND) Software Release Request (Ascend Max 4xxx)
As an update to all.
I "downgraded" the Max 4048 tonight from 7.0.22 to 7.0.1 as was suggested by
most of this list. However, I have noticed no change. People dialing in
with analog modems still have trouble most of the time. I know from my own
testing that a v.90 modem and a 14.4k modem have both failed. Meanwhile,
ISDN connections (include data-over-voice) seem to work just fine. Could
this be some weird trunking problem on the telco end (the PRI provider is a
CLEC, not the ILEC). I'm really afraid to think of the prospect of
defective modem cards.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.
