Jim, the link status "X" you are referring to only applies if you have an
ISDN line plugged into the Pipeline. What you should be concerned about is
the T1/CSU Status right next to it. It should read carrier, which means
that you have a T1 Live signal. If it says red you are in alarm and if it
says blue, then you are getting an all 1's keep alive from the carrier Once
you get carrier, then you can worry about the routing portion. Also, make
sure that you have your T-1 plugged into WAN 2 of the pipeline. WAN 1 is
only used for ISDN.
A successful connection to the remote end will result in a Lan session up
<remote name> where remote name is what you configured in the Rem Nam
field. If you have other issues, let me know, I have tons of experience
with P130's.

I had a router go down and am trying to get a P130 to work in its
place.... a couple of questions:
what does the link status box look like when it is up? (it shows only an
"X" right now......i assume that is bad...)
i have at&t point to point selected, i gather that is about the only
choice for a t1, yes?
