Note 8.x software :-) But Joe is running:

TAOS 7 has a session limit around 720 (I actually thought it was exactly 
720, but your 748 might disprove that...).

We got stuck on the "can't allocate sys ID for slot ID xxx" message before 
(gotta love those error messages :-)).
