[Michel...] I think you got the picture. The user will never dial
the max, but a local ISP.
It would be nice if the max could be the PNS, but unfortunately I'm
asking something which is impossible.
My original thought was to setup a NT-RAS server, with VPN adapters
(no modems at all) and let this box do the trick. This seems to be the only
option left.

[Michel...] Our max is located 'behind' the firewall, not in our
DMZ. If it was 'outside' this is what was needed to have access to the LAN.
(Might come handy if we ever decide to relocate it)
