(ASCEND) IP Address Conflict - NT and Pipe50
All,
I've got a customer that recently purchaced a Pipe50 to deploy on his network.
This network is currently comprised of several different workgroups, each
doing their own thing.
The part that I'm responsible for is numbered behind 10.10.100.0/24.
A different group of machines is numbered behind 192.64.200.0/24.
When plugging the Pipe50 in, we're getting about 20 NT boxes in the
192.64.200.0/24 subnet that come up with an IP Address conflict message. The
IP address on each of these machines reflects only the address of that local
machine. Additionally, the MAC address of the conflicting host is the MAC
address of the Pipeline.
The Pipeline itself is configured on 10.10.100.242/24. It is currently
configured to accept incoming connections to connect a remote office. There
is nothing in the configuration with an address in the 192.64.200.0/24 subnet.
DHCP client and spoofing are disabled, as is NAT.
Can anyone offer any suggestions here? I'd like to figure this out without
resorting to shutting down (and possibly reconfiguring) half their network.
TIA,
-Troy
