RE: (ASCEND) Auto Negotiating Ethernet?
Susie? You feeling ok? You didn't call me before posting this time! <g>
Try using that dongle thingie that came with the box. If you don't have it
(or if it got blown away by a tornado), you can fake it by swapping the
green wires at one end of an ethernet cable (pins 3&6). If you don't have a
cable kit, ICQ me and I'll send you a dongle (I think I have one laying
around).

** Subject: (ASCEND) Auto Negotiating Ethernet?
**
**
** Awhile back I purchased a D-Link dual speed hub. It
** autonegotiates between
** 10 and 100mbps ethernet. My Max 6000 just refused to work with this hub
** (although it works fine with my old 10mbps hub) and I ended up putting
** everything back on the old one.
**
** I've done some searching of the mailing list archives and noticed others
** with similar problems, but didn't find any real solutions.
**
** Here is the info on the hub I have:
**
** I'd appreciate any clues or advice on how to make this work. This hub
** doesn't give me an option to set any of the ports to something
** specific. I
** may end up having to buy a better hub, but I'd rather not unless
** it was my
** only option :)
**
** Thanks for any ideas,
**
** Susie
