Re: (ASCEND) Max 6000 problems.



Yeah, I was a bit surprised when approximately one third of the Max
6000's we bought last summer to replace our 1600's and 4000's turned out
to not work. I've got 4 sites right now that seem to hate these 6000's
but work fine with their old 1600 or a TNT. I had to take 3 routers out
to one site just to get 1 that actually worked on their network. All had
the same config. I'll have to look into Nortel. Sounds sort of like what
the TNT was supposed to be. 

Was anyone else a little unnerved by the card Ascend/Lucent sent out
with the 6000 saying that if the ethernet didn't work with your hub to
try the cable they supplied? It really didn't/doesn't inspire much
confidence in their ability to do ethernet.
